My still life piece, i started out by just drawing the three objects and the cloth they are on but as i continued to work on it i decided that a background with windows and a tree would be an useful addition.
Our task for this asssignment in AP Art was to create a hybrid between ourselves and an animal. My choice of animal as it should be evident was a panda since i find them adorable and it worked well for it.
This is a self-portrait that i created in Studio Art in 11th Grade, a portrait i am very proud of and one that resembles me proficiently.
This piece has a story behind it, the old man in the painting is supposed to be the famous artist M.F. Husain. Since there has been a lot of controversy surrounding Hussain in recent years i decided to make a piece on it. Hussain is heading towards the sheikh on the left who represents Qatar the country that is accepting him , which is further emphasized by the sun, symnbol of hope, with open hands while he looks back at the tree to the right that is intented to represent India, due to its leaves being tri - colored orange, green and white synonymous to the Indian flag. I have also made the horse in a style similar to Hussain's to further the link between this painting and him.
This sketch is called Mechanical Fragments, i took a sheet of paper, divided it into four different parts and drew my object on it as tghe object shift from one part to another, it either turns or its size changes. Additionally there was also an abstract part to this artwork where there is an abstract organic chape that looks combined with this because of its mettalic texture.
This is a linoleoum print i created. I was inspired by the November 26th Terrorist Attack in India. My print shows the indian sub continent being flipped over, as the arrows show, by the terrorist groups who continue to instill fear in the nation.
This last artwork is my favorite. I have shown the stark contrast between a rural village scene and an urban city scene. I pueposely chose a dull and monchromatic color scheme for the city scene to show that the city life is dull and full of pollution and darkness. On the other hand my color scheme for the village comprises of a multitude of vibrant colors to delineate the cheerful village lifestyle.
